Formula I-Inspired Performance and Engineering
The heart of the new Ferrari F80 is a turbo V6 supplemented with three powerful electric motors. The turbocharged V6, on its own, makes 900 horsepower. Ferrari fans may be questioning the use of the V6 in place of the screaming V12 found in its legendary predecessors, but the Ferrari team has determined that the turbo V6, hybridized for a modern era, is the most effective way to boost output. It's as disruptive as it is effective, and the six vents (one for each cylinder) incorporated into the exterior design make it plainly known that this is no error. The hybrid engine also happens to be the one that powers Ferrari Formula One cars, with some adjustments necessary to make it a street-legal hypercar. The Ferrari F80 is freed from the constraints of Formula One rules to forge its own path on the open road.
1,200 Horsepower
The Ferrari F80 is also a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. The large, rechargeable battery pack allows a combined output of 300 horsepower from the three motors. Two in the rear and one for the front wheels, for an astounding combined total output of 1,200 horsepower and 793 pound-feet of torque.

The exterior design is low, wide, and futuristic. Every detail is meant to increase aerodynamics, with design elements inspired by previous Ferrari models.
